A Brand New Day

Hello anyone!!

My name is V. Roman Haljkevic and I am 29 years old, I was born in Canada (St. Catharines, Ontario) and I have been a landscaper for years.  Well, I am now born again, and I now let the Lord 'landscape' me.

The purpose of this blog is two fold: to encourage in the Lord and to be encouraged in the Lord. 

The best encouragement is in the study of God's Word.  Opening up His book, and hearing what He is speaking to me.  I get encouraged by reading His Word, and I hope to encourage by sharing His Word.

God had created all and He has His hand in all.  God's Word says:

" For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened."
(Romans 1:20-21)

We have a choice to serve the Lord, we have a choice to seek after the Lord.  I don't know the whole history of our wonderful continent (North America), but I know there were many Bible believing preachers and teachers that started to colonize here.  We had strong Christian morals, and sadly, these Christian morals are being seperated from our wonderful continent. 

Christians (the people who glorify and live for Christ) need to be seperated in this world, not Christ being seperated out of this world.  Again, to quote the Bible: "for the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, (even) his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:"  God created this world, and God has given the evidence of His creation all over the place. If you do not see Him in creation, are you willing to seek after Him? 

It is up to us as individuals to seek after Him.  GOD HAS GIVEN US THE CHOICE.  He allows our choice.  My encouragement to anyone reading this is to seek after Him, to know Him and choose decisions based after His likeness.

In Romans chapter 1, there are verses that show us that God does in fact allow our choices to continue.  In the verses below, it says "God gave them up" which in the original Hebrew language is 'paradidomi' which means 'surrender', 'yield up'.  God allowed sin to come in because of the choices we make. Does that mean He wants us to sin?  God Forbid!

"Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 
And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 
And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 
Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 
Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 
Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 
Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them."  (Romans 1:22-32)

Christ lived, died, and rose again for me.  I want to give to Him.
